Since you're visiting this site and reading this page, it's safe to assume you're looking to make money online, right? So let's take a quick look at what's involved in making money online, shall we?
Naturally, you need a product to sell - but that can be a physical product you ship, a digital product people download, a service you perform, or even simply ads you serve up on your site, either directly or using services like Google Adsense, affiliate ads from ClickBank, etc. People are making money online using each of these methods, and most of them are using a combination of some or all of these.
Next up you need targeted traffic - visitors to your web sites and blogs who are interested in buying what you have to offer - or at least in the topic covered by your site. And therein lies the 'hidden' biggie - How Do You Get That Targeted Traffic???
A few years back it was simple - throw a bit of cash into Pay-Per-Click Advertising. For $2 you'd get 40 or 50 targeted visitors from the search engines - how cool was that? Now, though, a good keyword in a powerful niche can cost you many times that $2 - for a single click! That translates to $100 - $200 for each sale you make, which is often more than the price of the entire sale! So now what?
Almost every form of traffic generation online requires Articles - articles for content on your sites and blogs to bring free search engine traffic, articles in your e-zine to keep people interested and coming back to your sites, articles to use at Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo (where they call them 'lenses'), articles to submit to article directories, to get your name and links out in front of as many people as possible, etc.
So If It's That Simple, What's Holding You Back?
There are three ways to generate articles for your site:
